Assessment of capabilities
- Cant be a one off event
- Needs to built on skills over time
- Not a linear progress but a network
- Needs to show the interconnectedness
- They are ideas to think with rather than things in their own rightWe need to make sure our assessment reflects these criteria. When writing learning stories, need to include the vocab of progressions, using the language of science, and ensure that we are not conveying to parents that the learning is linear.
