Week 17 - reflections on my Inquiry question
I've found thee questions posed by Caro-Bruce,
Flessner, Klehr & Zeichner (2007) really helpful in formulating my
question, especially the what would I like to improve and what am I curious
about. I've been involved with the UC CS4PS programme, trying to up-skill
myself in computer science. I've been to a few of the learning sessions
and been part of moderating the draft digitial technologies curriculum however,
I feel I've worked spasmodically within my class. I wonder why this and I
have pondered whether my teaching situation within a collaborative environment
with a teacher who is not interested in computer science has impacted my
ability/willingness to include it in our weekly timetable. Computer
science is definitely an area that is on my mind and would like to
improve on.
Integrating the
principles of Kaupapa Maori Research into your Teacher Inquiry concerns
me. I need to research this more. At this stage I'm unsure how to
approach integration of this into my topic. I met with my Mindlab study
pals today and we all feel the same so have agreed to research some more and
meet up again next week.

Really good to see that you have considered the kaupapa Māori elements as these are a good guidelines for our practice as teachers here in Aotearoa. Ideal for mainstream New Zealand.
